Miricell™, a natural, non-GMO, and gluten-free source of spermidine and other polyamines, was the focus of a groundbreaking pilot study by the Center for Applied Health Sciences (CAHS). This research investigated how Miricell™ supplementation affects key markers related to healthy aging, cognitive function, and autophagy – the body’s process of cellular renewal. The study demonstrated that Miricell™ can stimulate autophagy in a way comparable to fasting. Importantly, this is the first human study to identify a specific supplemental dose of spermidine that achieves this effect. The research also indicated positive impacts on cardiometabolic markers, and sets the groundwork for a larger clinical study to further explore these effects.
Additionally, a large-scale decentralized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted by Radicle Science, with nearly 700 participants, expanded the understanding of Miricell’s impact on cognitive health and other potential health benefits. The trial data, which is currently under final review, identified a cohort of subjects that experienced sharper cognitive function and demonstrated that Miricell™ was safe and well-tolerated. These studies contribute to the growing body of evidence supporting the benefits of natural spermidine supplementation.
